A mess of an update...
I just happened to realize that I have not done a decent update here since July 7th? really? hmmmm... Let's see....
Dad has had the cancer removed from his eye lid and the lid has now separated away from the eyeball itself. He is doing okay - but it will be about 3 months until the true results are apparent. He's on the road and handling things really well.
My sister is actually growing up a bit. She has finally given into the fact that she's a mom. What more could be the best thing to have ever happened to her? I think this is it. Her children are positively adorable and have the sweetest personalities! Yea for Lydia and Kade!
She and her husband have their 2nd wedding anniversary on the 19th. That's hard to beleive.
Keith ran a 5K yesterday morning for breast cancer, and still was able to make it to church on time to do the video taping of the service. I was really proud of him for achieving both. I think that I would have probably bowed out of the church part... but he made it. And.. then he mowed the yard last night.
Mom is doing her own thing. She is playing a lot of bridge and listening to the noise that the old ladies seem to put out and most of it (that she tells me) is a bunch of bull. If they could just talk about making cobblers and watching the Olymics... I think there would be a lot less trouble in their aging minds.... but whatever. What's new there? Nothing!
I am doing alright. I have been busy with the study of Daniel. It is quiet interesting. I really never knew much more than the story of Daniel and the Lion's Den. Turns out there's a lot more to ponder. I have been cleanning out closets, pulling out clothes that are too little for the kids, trying to get Keith to get me some work with his company. Keith needs me to organize the guys and their equipment for the jobs they have coming up in the next few months.
Lily and Kelton are starting Kindergarten next Monday. School supplies are to be bought on Wednesday and then all labeled on Thurs. and then taken to the school on Friday so that they don't have to carry all that stuff n on Monday morning. I think it is going to be about $50.00 a piece for each of them. I am not looking forward to the shopping part of it at all. They both are excited to start school. Their Elementary school is 2 blocks away, but it is not a straight through shot - we would have to wall 4 blocks down, 2 blocks across and 4 blocks up. I think if we start out walking it before they are adjusted to a full day of Kindergarten, those kids would be positively exhausted. We will let them get used to school first and then see about doing the walking thing. They cannont walk it by themselves. The school doesn't allow children to walk to school by themselves until 3rd grade, which I think is a good thing.
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaa...... motherly duties are calling... more of a mess update another time.
