Soo... last night at the senate meeting the senate approved a (at least) $70 increase on tuition to build a new pool that was promised four years ago to students at no increase at all. I'm really dissapointed... there are so many factors that should have told the senate that it wasn't a good idea, and they don't even talk about it. They just voted without thinking of the consequences or discussing it. So... I'm pretty sure I'm going to be transferring to another school, either this spring or next fall. The increase doesn't include any other increases from any other department so that makes ISU the most expensive school in Idaho with the least amount of funding available.
USU actually has a scholarship program though... they'll give $14,000 to any student who transfers from ISU to USU. I'm kinda looking at schools today to see what is available and financially better than ISU is going to be. If I were to go to USU I would probably start in the summer... since summer tuition for non-residents is only $1500 or so. But I hate moving... and I'm nervous about where I would live.
