lonely, in a sort of melancholy, don't really have the energy to do anything about it sort of way.
at least this new job i cool. I work at a 'locally-owned' coffee shop where the 'baristas' are all upper middle class, educated, parents are educated, i just work this job because I need spending money to go to music festivals and i'm getting a degree in business types, white (always and only) with no apparent experience of anything other than the "life is good" type of existence at their lakehouse, with their blond parents and over tanned mothers, etc etc etc.
I'm sorry, that wasn't supposed to sound that way. It's fun, it's easy, and the tips are fucking fantastic.
I miss pete. He said we needed "an extended cooling off period" in May, fine, but then don't approach me and play nice unless you're ready to end such a thing, and if you are, say so, kthanx.
6 months ago I was rolling in money and couldn't spend it fast enough. Now I have less money to my name or within reach than any other time in my life. crazy.
