I'm currently in Cleveland for a funeral of a girl I was friends with when I was younger who ODed on painkillers. Man, what the hell is going on? Why is EVERYONE DYING? I never would've expected it of her either, she was always so cheerful when I knew her, but I know from experience that doesn't mean nothing's wrong. It's really sad... she was really cool, I used to like her a lot but she was older than me so I felt weird about going out of my way to talk to her, since we knew each other when we were really young. You know how that is, when you're a little kid and one year seems like a vast gulf of difference in age. I really wish I could've gotten to know her better.

So yeah. ~ABRUPT SEGUE TIME~ The funeral was a few days ago, but I stayed in town until yesterday to see a concert. Ikilledabearonce. They were pretty fun... I wish I lived in a city that gets concerts like this all the time still. When I'm back in school I'm going to hardcore start going to concerts again.

Something I have observed: it appears to be some kind of law that if you are in an American metal band, and you play bass, YOU HAVE TO WEAR A HANDLEBAR MUSTACHE. It's like MANDATED or something. Unless you're female, but now that hipsters are taking over the extreme metal scene I'm not even so sure about that anymore.

Also, some weird dude came up to me after the show and told me that my eyes look awesome when he's on drugs... or something. Then he acted surprised that I was older than 17, and tried to get my phone number. Have guys always been this weird, or did they just decide to start acting that way since I became single?
