types, first impressions, and expectations

I've had the chance over the past few days to have multiple conversations with a few friends about (what else) boys. Well, at least in physicality, I'd say "type" exists. Especially in physicality, because on the superficial level you don't have to actually take into consideration things like personality. It's all just physical attraction. You and Myeshia have the same general tastes in looks, which I'm not saying doesn't encompass a wide variety of styles, but there are certain looks you really appreciate. I have a different physical aesthetic. Most of they guys you two look at, I just don't get . . . but then I fall in a puddle when an Arab or Indian boy walks by and you two barely shrug. It's all superficial when it comes to the concept of an actual relationship, but it's still legitimate categorization.

Also, type and ideal, for me, are quite different. The guys I stare at are one thing. They guys I end up with are almost never the same guys I drool over. But they also fit a sort of type based on personality traits I'm attracted to. And with the possible exception of Hoag, whom I never was around quite enough to gauge, I'd say the guys you actually end up being legitimately interested in have personality commonalities too.
