(no subject)
My friends are in this band called Buildings. They are breaking up. Brian Lake and Ryan are moving to Chicago, which is fine. Chicago's all right. I know they'll be joining bands and hanging out in Wicker Park and meeting nice girls who say they are indie. I'm fine with that.
But this band is beginning to epitomize exactly what I'm looking for in an awesome band.
Plus, Travis Ryder is my favorite drummer ever. I'm pretty fucking serious about that. I wonder if he knows!!
Today was a pretty awful day for me. To sum up:
-Grand Marquis has bad transmission fluid and bad cylinders and bad fuel pump and bad air filter and band tires. $875 of problems you never thought you had to check.
-Not affording lunch because of $875 in car problems you never thought you had to check.
-People are generally awful when you try to help them. Especially when their son has a warrant for their arrest. Also...no. Just people are plain awful
-I think I'm getting really sick. I can tell because I never get sick...and when I start feeling sick I get really sick.
-I hate being an adult.
-And now hearing Buildings' new song and knowing the are going to break up.
What made things better right away:
-a 24 oz. Rogue Dead Guy Ale
-Two cats, one fat and one skinny
-A girl in pajamas with a credit card
-The song "Me and Giuliani Down by the Schoolyard (A True Story)" by !!!
-The second season of Lost
