I can hear my heart slowly breaking
As I watched you walk away.
My knees were shaking
Once I realized nothing will ever be okay.
Please come back to me
And hold me tight.
Please say that you love me
And everything will be all right.
How much longer can I endure this pain?
To keep myself from running after you?
I feel like I'm slowly going insane
When I felt my heart tear in two.
Don't say you love me
And then turn your back.
Don't say you need me
And then make me feel like I was smacked.
To me, you were the dawn;
The one who brightened my life,
But now you're gone,
And created this inner strife.
You, who said I mattered.
You, who said you'll love me always.
You, who made my heart shatter.
You, who left me that day.
My heart is broken, but I still want you.
I still want you to hold me in your arms
For my love will always stay true
Even if you cause me harm.
