(no subject)
So I had my meeting with the head of the housing for my building today. For those of you who don't know, I got a notice last week citing me for violating codes. All but one was dismissed. The one's that were ridiculous, my cats being taken care of and the general state of my apartment's cleanliness, the woman was like, uh, yeah, that's dumb. Don't worry about it. And the last one, I violated, but didn't know. Not allowed to even HAVE candles in the apartment and I had a couple burning.
Whatevs. So what's my punishment? Fine? Nope. Community service? Nope. Slap on the wrist? Nope. I have to make a 3x2 poster about fire hazards/safety and the policy about candles/incense/open heat source things in the dorms. Yeah, I know. LOL It makes me laugh. But hey, not complaining. I actually sat in the lady's office for liek an hour, half the time we were BS'ing about random stuff. The other half was actually spent going over policy, yadda-yadda. So all is good.
I have a midterm tonight in my design class. Its kind of pointless. Seriously. She's testing us on quick-keys and terms. Umm, hey, so, prof, guess what? Yeah, this is college, not high school. Last time I checked, it was WAYYYY more effective for us to be USING these terms and quick keys than being quizzed on them. Oh well, this class is horrid almost in its entirety. Each class is 2 hours and 50 minutes long. Well, that's how long its supposed to be anyway. And generally, what should take about 15 minutes for her to explain, for example, how to set up text flows, or using tabs, takes almost the entire class period. This class feels like such a waste of my time.
So yeah, studied some today at work. Will do some last minute quizzing with Anna before class. And then the midterm. Then finish up a project I started in class on Monday.
Really looking forward to Friday. It should be a pretty good, albeit busy, weekend. Friday after work at some point, meeting up with Nievita. Then we're probably gonna head to a lil birthday shindig. At 10, we're heading to Ash street for Eddie's (aka minion 1) show. Jesse is gonna join us (yay, he'll be home!). Saturday morning, pedicures. Then noon, I have a photoshoot. At 4, head to the picnic in Washington park. Saturday night, I'm probably gonna try to get to bed fairly early because I have to meet a different photog on sunday morning for an early morning-awesome-lighting-shoot. I know what I'm going to bring, for the most part for the shoot on Saturday, but I'm not too sure what I want to do for the shoot on Sunday. I'm thinking something a little less colorful/piratey/punky/etcwhatev. Maybe a little more serene, sweet, blah. I dunno. I will figure it out.
Its almost 4. I'm so ready to be outta here. Like, now. (hahaha, whenever I hear or see "like, now" it always reminds me of the Goonies) I just got a coffee. Yum yum. I munched on a bagel. MMmmmm. I've gotten caught up on my flist on LJ. Skimmed over FB. Maybe I'll play solitaire. I left my book at home intentionally so I would study, but I really don't have much TO study. So I guess solitaire it is.
