Sudden, unexpected approval from complete strangers totally makes my day! A woman at work the other day told me I had a nice voice (actually, the word she used was "lovely"), which was really weird because I'm pretty sure my voice is anything but. And also that I am internally tone deaf, though I have no proof of that one other than everyone in chorus for the entirety of my life up until three years ago moving away from me.
But anyway, yeah! Random compliment from random person made me very happy!
I have to move out at the end of this semester. It's part of the deal I made with my parents to go into the Mexico class. (My father wanted me out this semester, but I don't have a car, so I wouldn't be able to attend the classes for it... and therapy? Goodbye. So we agreed on next semester. Though I'd been planning on moving out around then, anyway, so, uh. Ha. I win?) But! Very nervous about living with complete strangers. THEN, I HAVE GENIUS PLAN. SO HERE IS MY GENIUS PLAN:
ineptmagicuser and I are hopefully going to be moving into an apartment together sometime in December or January! Because moving in the middle of winter? TOTAL GENIUS. Yaaaay, ice! See, this way, we both get out of our houses and into The Real World (ph34r), but it's not completely horrible and terrifying because we at least know the person we are living with. And because we both know that the other is not a complete alcoholic or a nymphomaniac or... well, anything other than prone to talking loudly to herself and staying up until all unholy hours of the night. And neither of us can cook, so, awesome.
Of course, housing in Burlington is a bit more on the ridiculous end of things, so if worse comes to worse, we may have to recruit a random third individual, but mostly this will hopefully be awesome.
