Wilson had been chatting up Emily for minutes, hours, days... he didn't know and the idea of time didn't really occur to him. All he knew was that drink refreshers were needed, stat. He excused himself and headed over to the bar. God, when was the last time he'd felt this damn good? He felt high on life and it was like everyone in the room was suddenly happy and open, and god damned attractive. He hadn't felt this flirtatious since he was married to Bonnie.

It was then that he noticed the familiar figure sitting by himself in the corner. It was strange to see him in the blank mask, though he couldn't really figure why. It seemed to change House's face in Wilson's mind more so than he ever would've thought. Still, it felt like it had been forever since he'd seen the man and he missed him, and this night was not a night for any sort of downer. He would miss his best friend no more!

Wilson walked up close to House and put a gentle hand on his shoulder. "You're so not fooling me with your Phantom of the Opera impression, though I have to admit I'm surprised to find you here at all. It's a good surprise, but still a surprise."

"That's because I want to have witnesses for when I drink my body weight in alcohol...though you're beating me to it," House remarked, taking one last shot of the booze and staring at the gaudy mask and the man behind it. Wilson being this flirtatious meant one thing and one thing only: Amber had slept with him and he was horny. The devil in Gregory House came out for a second in the form of a dastardly idea: he was definitely going to enjoy this.

Letting his cane tap James' leg, he swiped it quickly, if to just elicit a response. "Can't be that big a surprise; you're not making a spectacle of yourself."

Wilson laughed, though part of him realized it wasn't really funny. In fact, he wasn't quite sure he understood at all. Why would House wear a mask that covers most of his identity to get witnesses? But as soon as the slight concern entered his mind, it left again and he found himself once again feeling nothing but happiness at the sight of his wayward friend.

"And why would I make a spectacle of myself?" he asked, raising an eyebrow but still smiling. His hand remained on House's shoulder and he squeezed slightly. It felt unnaturally good to just touch the other man. This didn't concern him like it normally would've though, so instead when he felt the cane tap his leg, he let his hand slip off his shoulder and down his back.

Another brief thought that this should concern him flittered through his mind, but it didn't stick.

That stray touch was all the go ahead House needed to make his moves. "Because you're euphoric for no reason," he growled, licking his chapped lips. Using this state, he tugged Wilson closer to him. Maybe he could remember; worth being blind. "Ugh, that cologne is not flattering."

A soft gasp escaped Wilson as he was suddenly tugged forward. He stumbled slightly, losing some of the grace he'd felt while dancing with Emily before, and found himself pressed lightly against House. Trying to regain his composure, he quickly sat on the stool next to House. He had that feeling again, like he was missing something terribly important. If he was, it would certainly explain why he was flirting with his very male best friend.

The worry about that lasted only momentarily and he laughed. "Well, I've got you beat," he joked. "At least I don't smell like a winery. Or maybe I do. There's really not a whole lot of selection around here." He leaned in closer then, letting his brain fall by the wayside as his instincts took over. "Is it really that bad?" He smirked, showing that he was more amused than offended and waited to see what House would do next.

"It makes you smell...cheap." With that, Greg pulled closer, letting that memory come to life between them. He stood up and hovered his lips over his. It was almost as if saying 'Remember me...remember us.'

Wilson didn't quite remember, per se, as he was suddenly pressed against his friend, but it all did feel strangely familiar. And good, did he mention damn good? A delightful shiver ran through him as House moved so close he could feel his breath on his face. "You really know how to woo a guy," Wilson said flatly, though he didn't move away. He couldn't even if he wanted to (which he found he really didn't).

Wilson tilted his head up as House moved to stand, using his height again, Wilson noticed. And god it was so different to be flirting with a guy. Different and exciting. He rather liked the idea of being with someone who was just as strong, or stronger. Who might be able to take control...

"I feel like I haven't seen you in a year. I feel like something's missing," Wilson said, almost out of nowhere. It was the first time he'd spoken about his odd feelings to anyone and to be honest, he couldn't figure out why he'd said anything to House. It was more likely he'd be made fun of than taken seriously.

Then the feeling of the mask took over again and he felt nothing but lighthearted happiness just to be talking to House.

Glassy eyes would always be expressive even if they didn't see anything and there was a smile in House's eyes. He went ahead and brushed his lips against Wilson's when he whispered, "Blindness aside, I haven't gone anywhere. Maybe you're just that big a blondie." He's 51, honest.

That something missing was being with him as they were, in bed or exploring Peaksville together. He seized the moment and gave him a full kiss, almost slipping in some tongue while he was at it. The happy mask was lowering inhibitions and, even if for a night, Wilson remembered, Greg was happy (and with new blackmail material).

Another little pleasant shiver ran down Wilson's spine as rough lips grazed against his own. He opened his eyes, not having realized he'd shut them in the first place, and looked into unseeing blue ones. Wilson was almost astonished to see that House looked happy. He still didn't know what this had to do with feeling like he was missing something over the past few days, but it was fairly obvious why House was suddenly in an apparent good mood.

Then, almost surprisingly, he was being kissed, really kissed and without giving it any thought at all, he gave into it. He brought one hand up to grasp onto the back of House's head and tilted his own to better fit their mouths together. It was brilliant and beautiful and his world seemed to fit back into place. The rest of the bar and it's patrons slipped away, all forgotten in the midst of this one kiss.

That is just awesome and the world could end at that moment. Fuck the world. Mischievously, the kiss was deepened with a slip and taste along with a pull closer. For a moment, it was the pre-Westian Christmas times all over again. Hands roaming around the hips and daring to let fingertips hover over exposed skin; the diagnostician was pushing every notion and unwritten rule the so-called god had put in place.

But like the unrepentant dick that he is, House broke the lip-lock and grinned, but not letting that kiss go without a well-placed gasp. "I guess you should go back to your party. Your dates are parched."

Wilson's mouth opened to accept House's tongue as his eyes closed once again. He was filled with a deep need that he couldn't quite explain. All he knew was that he never wanted this to end.

But then it did and Wilson sat, blinking stupidly up at House as he spoke. He couldn't quite believe what he was hearing. "I don't want to go anywhere," he said honestly. It wasn't just the mask making him feel good at this point, and though he didn't for see feeling particularly awful if House insisted he leave, in his heart he knew he'd be happier sitting right where he was with House.

"Mighty rude of you, James," House smirked dangerously, already limping towards the exit, buuuuuuuuuut not quite so fast, like giving his best friend a choice. WITH THE POWER OF SEX, HOUSE WILL BEAT WEST! AND IT WILL BE GLORIOUS.

Wilson sat in stunned silence for a moment as House started walking away. A rush of noise that was the crowd in the bar suddenly flooded over him and despite still feeling rather content, he didn't feel as happy as he had a few moments before, just as he'd suspected he would.

House had just enough time to make it about halfway to the exit before Wilson was on his feet and going after him. "Hey House! Wait up!" he called, forgetting about everyone else in the bar. They didn't really matter right now and he could apologize tomorrow, if needed.

"What?" Keep playing hard to get... "I'm not one of your nurses or your patients, Wilson; you're stuck with me if you dare take another step." This was even more threatening since House was facing the door.

Wilson stopped directly behind House. His hands came up and hovered by House's back, as if he were afraid to touch. It was the first time he'd really hesitated about anything since putting the mask on. He still didn't really know what was going on, why this felt so familiar. It couldn't have happened before, it just couldn't. He would remember something this important.

Wouldn't he?

"Let's go," he said softly, finally laying his hands down on House's upper back.

It has happened twice and both they were incredible. The touch was he needed and a sly smile took over House's face. Wilson's mind wasn't remembering but his body definitely remembered the euphoria that came with getting a lay with him. "Lead the way; I AM blind, you know?"
