Day 50
At midnight, per the normal, a television appears in every room on Main Street. There is a rather smug looking Mr. West sitting before his fireplace and holding his normal glass of scotch. His fingers trace around the rim of it, and he simply watches the camera for the moment. Yesterday's altercation doesn't show on his face, despite the obvious blood that had been there following Debra Morgan hitting him in the face with the DVD.
"Hello my friends. I hope you all managed to find your beds and you're safe and sound inside them. Tomorrow you all start new jobs, and I'll remind you that we don't like unproductive people here, so you'd best be on your guard and do them." There's a little beat and West traces the edge of his glass again.
"The weather for tomorrow is warm and sunny, with a chance of a mid-afternoon shower. I expect Anthony to be out, so you may want to be on your guard for that. We don't want anyone to visit the cornfield, particularly those who've already been."
Mr. West looked a bit smug before he added. "Should you feel the need, leave a message at the tone." A pause and he blows a little kiss before the TV goes black with a resounding BEEP.
