[open] if you can dodge a wrench you can dodge a (snow)ball

Dec 28, 2010 18:13

Who: Nathan Ford, OPEN
When: Day 47, late morning
Where: Somewhere outside the boarding house...
What: Phantom snowballs.

Nate Ford wasn't sure why he woke up where he did, where he even woke up, or where the heck his dad was, and really...he didn't care. He didn't have to sit in that stupid bar learning how to count cards and pour drinks, and he didn't have to listen to his old man's endless rants. No, he woke up and his dad was no where to be seen. He was free.

It took him no time at all to explore his new digs. He wandered around for awhile as he took it all in, and eventually he found a nice hiding spot back near the building he had woken up in. He grinned to himself because he saw people pass him by and they didn't see him. This really only meant one thing to the boy who spent so much time cooped up.

Blitz. Attack.

He packed up a small pile of snowballs, and the second he saw someone in his line of view he launched them. He may not have been the most athletic kid out there, but at eleven years old he knew how to throw a snowball that would hit someone.

There would be no apologies to anyone who wandered through his path.
