Michael got that urge to bake cookies that everyone else has had today, but he's been pushing it off. He was able to find things to distract himself with, but his fingers kept idly tapping at his side. He wanted to make cookies. It was almost Christmas and something was just in his head telling him how important cookies were. Especially late at night.
With the kitchen finally free, Michael found his way there and started up some hot water for tea. While that was going he found himself a cup of yogurt to bide his time while he tried to decide what kind of cookies he wanted to make.
If anyone else couldn't sleep and wandered into the kitchen, they'd have found him standing there with his yogurt, leaned against the counter, staring at the baking supplies and not actually baking.
