Who: Erik and Cordelia
When: Day 46
Where: Cinema
Erik was careful to wait outside the doors of the theater. He had been sick the previous day, too sick to read the journal, too sick to even care. But when he'd recovered, he'd remembered the young woman's promise to accompany him to the movie theater.
It was not that he had any particular regard for her personally, but she could not speak, and he needed a body. He did not want to be subjected to the replay of his old life again. Now he was new, Frederic, handsome and whole.
He had not, out of habit, looked at a mirror before leaving. And so he stood, in the shadows (again out of habit) but his face uncovered under the fedora he had traded his top-hat for. Gaunt, his skin yellowed like parchment, his bone structure clearly visible in the hollows of his cheeks and sunken eyes and the lack of nose.
