Since Giselle and Rose disappeared and tapes burned, House has been very careful in planning his bloody revolution against Mr. West and that included flying under the radar. Nothing terribly unusual happened during his investigation with Kirk at Maple Street, no aliens to see. He was starting to think this was a collective folie a deux when he read that Dean was hurt. Frankly, not a surprise; the man was a 15 year old with a gun collection and able in the usage of the c-word. So he limped around the common room, investigating every little minute detail, keeping the energy by watching the clock. At least there was something to do.
