The last one is an attempt to reply to the latest concept art battle at digart.pl subject. I've never participated in the CAB and I'm not planning this time either, but I often use their subjects for personal practice (and hiding the results under the bed xd).
I've recently found a wonderfull page with tones of classic illustrations and fine art in high quality, like this Mead Schaeffer's amazing painting:
