I was watching TV for a bit this morning, and a commercial that has been absent for quite a while came back with a terrible vengeance. It's the "loverly" commercial for Hampton Inns, set to the tune of a modified song from "My Fair Lady" where travelers are dancing around in hotels, airports and parking lots, like some kind of a technicolor nightmare musical from some sinister marketing "promised land". Does anyone know what commercial I'm talking about? I have to scramble for the remote whenever this commercial comes on; I can't change the fucking channel fast enough.
This really shouldn't be funny, but somehow it is. Audio is important. Note the "genuine" concern of those plastic morning show hosts.
