The release of the Twilight Soundtrack
track list today was...as expected. Muse, Linkin Park, and Paramore, all very SMeyer choices. Also, I think I was 14 the last time Collective Soul had a song anyone cared about. The total lure of the soundtrack is RP's song, which will either be listenable or
so bad that it is so good. He really cannot lose with this audience. So, the announcement is kind of a yawnfest...unless you are a giant Blue Foundation fan. I am sure they have one, and that guy is psyched.
In response to the official Twilight soundtrack, we have organized Twilightapalooza 08, a musical Twilight extravaganza. The professors would like to submit, for the pleasure of TwilightU students, faculty, and friends, our on-campus bands, which range in musical style from folk to industrial metal. Of course, it is the position of TwilightU that these bands should have been included (or at least seriously considered) for inclusion on the Twilight soundtrack.
