IJ roundup for September 8 - 14
I went away late last week to visit my mom and help her go through boxes of stuff -- among which was my 7th grade sex ed workbook. I didn't get abstinence-only sex ed, but looking through that workbook, it was most definitely abstinence-focused. Best way to prevent STDs? ABSTINENCE OMG! Oh, yeah, and condoms and testing. Best way to prevent pregnancy? ABSTINENCE OMG! Oh, yeah, and birth control...stuff. By the way, if you have sex YOU'LL REGRET IT FOREVER OMG.
I was amused to discover that my answers in the notebook were stressed in the opposite direction: birth control, condoms, testing, oh, yeah, and abstinence, I suppose. Of course, I didn't actually use any of that knowledge until I was 21, which I'm sure would totally blow the minds of the abstinence-only pushers.
Anyway!

No art posts this time around, although I've made excellent progress on this month's daily_deviant. I've got sketches and a plan for snarry_games, but there's a lot left to do and not much time to do it in. Nose to the grindstone, self!
