will you share how you did that animated gif from the flash?
Sure thing. As a matter of fact, I'll describe the whole process (mainly because I like explaining things, but we'll pretend it's beneficial to other people, too ^_^).
1. Screen caps: I opened up Photoshop, then rode Alt + Print Screen (I use Windows; I believe Mac OSX uses a program called Grab) to get each one I wanted. I pasted each one into a new document, then culled them down to two that I liked--one of the "sane" image and one of the "insane" ones.
2. Border: I sized it into a square first, to figure out where the bottom border would need to be. The Azkaban site had a border already, so I just selected the top section, did an Edit->Transform->Flip Vertical, and used teeny little strokes with the smear tool to blend it in with the bottom of the image.
3. Words: I used Times New Roman, and selected the palest cream color I could find in the image for the text color. Then I opened up the blending options for the text layer, and set "Stroke" to one pixel and the darkest grey I could find.
4. Animation: I pasted in the "insane" image as a seperate layer, saved, and opened it in Image Ready. In Image Ready, I made a series of frames, each one using a different opacity for the "insane" layer and a different length:
0%, 0.5 sec
25%, 0.2 sec
50%, 0.2 sec
75%, 0.2 sec
100%, 0.5 sec
75%, 0.2 sec
50%, 0.2 sec
25%, 0.2 sec
"Save Optimized As" did the rest of the work for me. And that's it.
Just accidentally surfed in your journal tonight via your Absolut Snape ad, btw -- which is just the best. =D
