So though today was bad physically, I was poisoned by an omelet at Schafer and didn't get much needed rest afterwards, it was excellent socially.
I made a breakthrough with a girl in my Focused Inquiry class named Lily. She is a transfer student, and has her own apartment. She seems really nice, and more importantly sensible. We have a similar sense of humor which is awesome. She really likes living on her own, but says its harder to meet people when not in dorms. I think I might suggest we hang out sometime. I think it would be cool to have somewhere to go and hang out with a friend outside of the dorms and commons. She will make a great shopping companion, for I love her taste in fallwear Haha, wow I sound like Tim Gunn. It would be great if we had the same taste in movies, we could have a movie party at her apartment!
Also, in my Math class, a guy named Dani and I have started talking a lot. I'm not really sure how old he is, but he's definitely older than me. A great aspect to college life, you're not stuck with people who are all the same age of you. We talk after class about our frustrations with the class which is fun because I am so used to having Elena with me as I brave new equations and methods. He takes jujitsu and wants to learn Portuguese so he can talk to his Brazilian friends from class. He seems pretty cool, he walked me to Shafer after class today so we talked more. He got points for automatically opening doors for me. It's the first time in awhile that I actually am getting along with a black guy. It's nice because he's just normal, not trying to be "ghetto". It's refreshing.
So I now have two potential friends. Squee!
