I know I know. I said I'm trying to curb my spending on makeup, and I actually did. Kinda... For the month of December, I didn't haul as much. I mean, I did haul, but lesser and not on really higher-end makeup. Well except for
Bobbi Brown and
Shiseido, both which I had good discounts.
Anyway, along with the GNC supplements I've ordered for my family, I sneaked in some stuff for myself along with it, hehe. Such as the Stila Smudge Pots I've been dying to try, an Urban Decay 24/7 liner and some other staple stuff.
This is such a great deal! I got them for US$22.40, so its only US$7.50 each. These are mini pots, so they are half the size of the full sized smudge pots that are US$20/4g each. These contain slightly less product than KATE gel liners, which are 2.5g, so they aren't that small. I think they are more than enough though. I doubt most people will ever finish their gel liners before they dry up, especially non-black ones.
Stila Eyes and Shine Smudge Pot Trio (US$22.40, 30% discount. Usual US$32)
L-R: Stila Smudge Pot Gel Liners in Black, Bronze and Gray
I love UD 24/7 liners even though they don't really last very long on me. The main reason isn't only because of the smooth creamy texture but mostly due to the bright, bold and vibrant colors. Also the fine shimmers are gorgeous! I can use these in my waterline, but be careful if u have sensitive eyes or wear contacts. In terms of the vibrancy of the colors, they are closer to certain shades of the MAC Softsparkle but with finer shimmers, smoother texture and better formulation. They are more similar in texture to MAC Pearlglide. I have more 24/7 on the way and are lemming for the newly launched colors. Can't wait!
Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Honey (US$16)
Backups of my current HG mascara! I have a love-hate relationship with mascaras for the longest time, about 9 years I think. After trying this, I realized why most mascaras smudged on me, its the various types of wax in their ingredients but wax helps in volumizing and curling. So that's why this Neutrogena wax-free mascara doesn't smudge but many reviewers felt this is really just a lash tint, instead of a real mascara. It is volumizing, but not very. The good thing is that it doesn't clump and won't harden your lashes. But if u have thin, sparse or short lashes, this might not work so well on you. It's ok on me though. The only thing I hate about it is the big chunky brush it comes with. Don't get me wrong, I still love my Majolica Lash Enamel Neo. Gives me great volume with only a single coat and curls really well, but I only use it when I can check on my makeup often.
Neutrogena Weightless Volume Wax Free Mascara in Rich Black (US$10.19 for two. US$6.79 each without coupon.)
I've read alot of good things about this Revlon liner and I wanted to try it, especially on my waterline. Of course, waterlining with gel liners stays on better, but when I'm in a rush or for touching up, pencil liners are much more convenient. I'm not sure if they're selling this here, will go check it out the next time I visit Watsons or Guardians.
Revlon ColorStay Eyeliner Pencil in Cocoa (US$4.22. US$6.22 without coupon.)
My Carmex backup
Carmex Cold Sore Reliever and Lip Moisturizer (US$1.59)
Swatches
I left out the black Stila Smudge Pot because I'm still unsure if I should keep or sell it. I'm so tempted to keep it for myself, the texture's so creamy! But I already have 3 black gel liners and I don't need more.
Haha my favorite eyeliner experiment! I left these swatches for 10 minutes to dry completely and proceeded to rub vigorously with my fingers.
Except for UD, which was expected, all remained rather intact! Stila's still pretty much 100% there! Yay! And I'm most impressed with Revlon Colorstay, it only faded off a little, barely noticeable IRL! It's amazing! I'm lemming for more colors now!
Oh my EDM freebies came together with this haul (I used bordelinx). I'll post pics of them soon, and maybe some comparison swatches too! ;)
