I did a million variations of Bella (with(out) text, b/w, in colour, bright, muted etc.) I'll spare you the datails and post two:




Until I finally settled on J/A. This is a slightly more colourful (saturated) version compared with the original:

I think your second Bella icon, with more saturation or brightness would've been great + I love the strength of the color on the second alt - don't be afraid to be bold!

The bold part usually gets me kicked out for "oversaturation" though :)

LIMS are wierd like that. I think as long as the saturation doesn't reduce the quality of the image, make it pixelly or sharp from too much contrast - it can't hurt :)

It's one of my pet peeves about LIMS - oversaturated and oversharpend comments (without further explanation). That and the halo effect other icons have on yours. If mine is bright and all the others aren't, it sticks out more and I can guarantee "oversaturated/too bright" comments.
