HERE THERE BE FLEAS!~
So, i've kind of decided to turn this into a FFXI LJ, or at least some of it. Simply because it is really the majority of what i do now, and might as well let that be reflected here. Anyway, most of the stuff to do in game hasn't interested me much and i haven't had time for. I've really really wanted to merit, but i've had a hard time getting the motivation to do a random pickup merit. Why get a 10-20k/hr party when i can get a definite 20k+? That and it's more fun to chat with party members in vent. I get to do some help desk tomorrow i hope. Need to get a Samurai Testimony for Theadrin and then im going to take Vayla down to Ruby and get her Red Mage testimony. Hopefully will have some pics of those tomorrow.
As for skillup, all i can say is i freaking love chigoes. Rdm + 6 chigoes = instant win.
That isn't with 6, only 3. But before i had 6 mobs on it in the area outside nashmau. That really is faster, but you have to keep swapping your targeted mob because they move around you. Stupid having to be engaged to skill parry. So instead i go into a tunnel where i can just not deal with that. That leech is what i'm targeting and its movement pattern just goes right behind me and never out of range so i'm free to do other stuff.
I'm amazed at how simple it is. Phalanx is such a wonderful spell. Rather shitty gear being used, rather nothing zomg about Defense build. Just whatever gear you want + phalanx will pretty much do it.
These are my combat skills at the moment. They were a lot lower before i started. Shield was at 120-ish with acheron shield (Gives +10), and parrying was just barely over 100. I've spent quite some time there, but really it is fast compared to what other jobs might have to go through. Now i know why suji wants phalanx II so badly. >:O Trying to leach muh skillups.
Well, nothing else interesting. I should've taken pictures of adamantoise when i killed him with some others, but maybe i will later. Hmmm, it's late so i shall crash! Maybe i'll update with some ulli pictures as well.
