in other news, I can't stop listening to the same Elliott Smith songs on repeat. my studio is completely covered with pictures of Oxford and I wouldn't have it any other way. the weather has been clear so I've been watching the moon swell along with the temperature these past few days. on Sunday it was so warm in NYC that I was able to walk down the street, coat open to the breeze, eating eggs and lox and not caring too much that my battered, high-heeled feet could barely handle it.
I started rereading Mrs Dalloway while I was staying at Amelia's this weekend. today I bought a pair of cheap sunglasses with bright red frames. tonight we watched The Adventures of Robin Hood (1938) for my action film class. fuck all these recent aesthetically historically accurate tales of yore, I want my 12th century Englishmen to wear bright canary frocks with baby blue tights and jaunty feathered caps.
Coraline fucking rocked. walking 15 blocks through Harlem in the middle of the night to see it didn't. I need a goddamn sleeping pill.
