[ignores it. he hasn't asked and, at the moment, he doesn't intend to]

Statistically speaking, there wasn't much of a chance that we would.

No. But ... even if we did, could he really help us now? It's already over, mostly. [shrug] For now. I don't think it's going to end here.

[he gives Riku a sudden clear look, piercing in how knowing it is - or seems to be, anyway]

I think the morning after we all die we'll wake up to the captain's message again.

... [quietly, on a breath out, looking away] Yeah.

[it's abrupt, when he looks back, expression still clear. but he has to know] Riku .. you and Axel, what ..

... [his face scrunches up into something half-skeptical, half-amused] Seriously?

[the scrunched up look tilts into something crinkled and thoughtful now, a little less sharp] .. yeah, okay. I thought so.

[he actually drops his gaze, letting his head fall a bit, looking away. his voice comes out in a mumble.] Just be careful.

Is that really so hard to believe?

[that makes him pause, however, confusion furrowing his brow] What do you mean?

[in a mumble] It's just kind of .. yeah, a little.
