tonight was amazing

so, wow.  first of all, MANA_SAMA LIVE TOMORROW!!

k, now that i've got that out of my system...

so the awesomeness all started at break today when me and vito and richard were talking, and doing the twist got waay out of hand and turned into sides of steel which turned into a metal band, which turned into an awesome concept that i;d like to try, and that i think could be really successful.  my mind was composing and i couldn't make it stop!!  so, the second half of japanese consisted of me not concentrating.

then vito and i went to lunch, decided we would go back to the bekka, and then i decided that it was a nice day and that we should eat outside.  he concurred, and we proceeded to eat our food outside near the stage.

so there is a dude there smoking a cigarette.  whatevs.  we were sitting right by the ashtrays.  i'm wearing a short skirt and kind of sitting on the wall.  we talked for a while, and the wind started picking up.  we talked some more and the wind picked up my skirt.  i let out a yelp much louder than i should have, and the japanese dude smoking a cigarette turns to me and says "are you okay?" in PERFECT english.

WTF???

he is japanese.  this i discovered after talking to him for awhile.  turns out that the three of us have a lot in common.  so we sat there talking for like a little more than a half an hour, and then he invites me and vito to this thing that his class is having.  we say okay, we'll give it some thought.

so we give it thought, and we finally decide, just as i am finishing up my fanmail to mana-sama, that sure, let's go.

it was like, one of the funnest nights i've had so far.  maybe second to that karaoke night that i had with the uchi.  there was talkign and drinking and english and japanese, and a chinese person and a malaysian person and a vietnamese, a ton of japanese, some sempai who had already graduated, the teacher, and his wife, and their little daughter.  it was really, really awesome.

first off we were in a restauraunt with a live jazz band.  maybe only exeter people will know what i'm talking about when i say this, but it was like jazz brunch, with even better food.

makoto, the smoking guy, loves jazz, so we talked about it, and i might try to brush up on my swing so that i can teach him. we also both really like lauren hill.  people say he doesn't look japanese, but he matches the perfect image in my head of a young samurai.  whatevs.

everyone knew about dragon ball z.  we were kamee-hhhaaaammmeeee---HAAAAing.  it was great!  and everyone likes queen!  and we sang like a line from "i want it that way" by the backstreet boys and it was hilarious!

and there was a guy who used to ro rugby!  and a guy with the most expressionful face that i've ever seen.  a couple of quiet, but nice ones.  one that reminds me of my mental image of L from death note, but with smaller eyes.  such cool people!

the thing that surprises me the most about all this though, is that they are all econ majors!!!!!WHAT??!! アメリカの経済学を勉強している人と絶対に違うよ!It was so shocking!

but yeah, today was ex[ensive, but great.  and hopefully tomorrow will be fun too!!

bye all!

japan, food
