Drinks such as coconut water

Good evening Lj readers,

how are things? Here they have been brewing.

Here are the light jackets of the day :

* From the desk of Geoff

Things have been well here. It is rainy out! It is also the time of year when the leaves on the trees look very pretty. They are all sorts of colors and just starting to fall off. To me, it seems a little bit 'later' than usual, however of course vast parts of nature move at their own whims as opposed to necessarily a 'calendar', as it were.
Something I typically have during autumn, even if it is just 'once', as say (for example) part of a food sampling in a store is apple cider. I think I've had a chance to have some since the technical start of fall began (it was @ Trader Joe's), so I should be good for the season ~

Now that 'my' store has been open more than a year, the dust has settled, as they say. People have a better idea of the sorts of things they can do and the generalized logistics of the store are coming into form. Our downstairs cafeteria (i.e. 'bistro') is open, but currently only has limited hours until we can hire a few more people. Our holiday items, which are always unique and change each year, are in as well. Including amongst them are vampire mushroom gift wrap and bags (really, heh), acorn sugar bowls, metal apple candles, gold-embossed flies (yes, gold-embossed flies), silver-embossed snail figurines, light up pine cones, hedgehog ornaments and an oversized metallic ant. Quite a collection!

* Bowling Green

Last weekend I headed up to my college town of BG to see my friend Eric. What a nice time! Although it wasn't planned that way, his parents were out of town so we had the whole house to ourselves, haha. His parents have a hot tub so, while mr. Eric did not use it, I took advantage of the temperate weather and enjoyed.
It was interesting to see the new additions @ BGSU. Hanna Hall, a historical building with ceramic-lined floors, pocket windows and more, alas has been emptied out inside (in keeping with the two buildings next to it) to be adjusted and expanded into, of all things, the school of business!
In town I discovered a great new coffee place, Flatlands. Their aesthetic and presentation was just great - a well-curated menu of obtuse items like cascara tea and Fruity-Pebble-flavored macaroons, coupled with copious amounts of space and nice glassware. Quite recommended.

* Misc. other

Some other small things, for which I am thankful : the continued uniqueness that is show The Good Place. space heaters. the new game Candy Crush : Friends. not always wearing clothes, woo! (lol). artichoke hearts.

Okay. Have a good evening!

Take care,
* Geoff
