Storyline: After their graduation, Edward breaks up with Bella. She turns to Jake for support, unaware that he and Edward have a fledgling relationship. Jake goes to college on a sports scholarship. He looks forward to getting to know Edward better, but the vampire disappears. Jane kidnaps him and takes him to Volterra. She has the help of a new member of the Volturi whose powers torment Edward. Amidst erotic imagery of the things he wants to do to Jake, Edward remembers his life. Before Carlisle turned him, he was employed but his boss was homophobic. The man's goons ambushed him. The Volturi taunts Edward with visions of Jake having fun at school. In reality, Jake finds out Edward disappeared and searches frantically for him. The shifter rushes to rescue Edward.
Jacob confronts her, telling Bella that his friend at college found out it was her who helped the Volturi all along. Having rescued Edward, the two men talk about their feelings.
