What am I doing?

I have a server sitting in my basement. I have my own domain name. Why do I still have a blog on LiveJournal? I can easily make my own blog without having to deal with ads, junk, etc. Therefore, my own site will be hosting my blog. I will still post here to let people know I updated.

Oh yeah, until I get Verizon's fiber line run to my house, the connection to my server will be a tad slow.
