Rat or really big Mouse?

Seen right after the last snow, was really a big Rat, Muskrat, or Mutant Mouse. He really stood out, in contrast to the white snow. By the time I got back outside with the camera, it was gone (down the road). M

But the tracks were still there fresh in the snow. If you look closely or a larger size of the picture you can see the drag marks his tail left in the snow. Snow is almost all gone now.
