Yours was my choice for best story, so you'll get my feedback in a private post. But I'll say here, as well, that I loved your story. First, I loved that you crossed Twilight with a contemporary, popular fandom. Go you! And I love a good songfic. I thought Kelly Clarkson's Breakaway was the perfect autobiographical ballad for Nessie.
I also liked Nessie's POV here. It was interesting and believable. And I thought the story was perfectly constructed, starting with the curtain parting and ending with the bow, giving us all the backstory in between.

I liked Alone Against the World very much. You did so much with your word count. I really felt for Quil, for what it was like to be a guy who felt deserted by his friends, who found it hard to express his hurt and confusion. And the final line says it all; Quil will no longer be alone.

Thank you!
I've been obsessed with a possible connection between Thomas Wayne and Carlisle Cullen for a while, and I just wanted a reason to finally write it. I see similarities between the characters that could lead to both confusion and clarity for Bruce.
If you were going to read more, would you want more backstory or for the story to continue, or both?
