Who: Snow White and Ariel
What: Ariel learns from Snow White how to bake a pie.
Where: Snow White's apartment in Rabanastre.
When: Monday afternoon.
Warnings: Sugar. Lots of sugar.
Snow White just managed to get out her key and let herself into her apartment. Her arms were full of groceries, and she was in somewhat of a hurry, since Ariel would be here soon. In her kitchen, she heaved her packages on the counter to sort through. A dozen Red Delicious apples rolled out of their two paper bags, but she managed to keep them from rolling on the floor. Also purchased was flour, fresh eggs from a farmer's market at Agrabah Marketplace, and butter, along with a few other things which she needed, but not for this afternoon's lesson. She gathered the apples back into their bags and put them aside, and put away the groceries which they wouldn't be using.
Snow White reached into a cabinet to pull out her favorite cookbook, and opened up to what was clearly her favorite page. The recipe for apple pie had been spattered upon, wrinkled, torn and taped up, not to mention Snow had taken the liberty to make a few changes to the recipe, all marked in pencil on the page. She dusted the page off and propped the open book up against the kitchen wall. Referring to it, she pulled the ingredients they would be using first: flour, butter, sugar, salt and an egg; as well as a variety of measuring cups, spoons, a rolling pin, and of course a pyrex pie pan.
Glancing at her watch, Snow White realized that Ariel would be arriving in just a few minutes, but she felt that something was missing. Then she realized what it was, and opened the dish-towel cabinet to pull out a bright yellow apron, along with a green one for Ariel.
