Who: Rinoa and Namine
What: Catching up during their break.
Where: The Tiki Room.
When: Thursday evening.
Warnings: None, as of yet.
Notes: ohgod, we set this up forgetting Rinoa had Friday night off for the party, so excuse any mentions to Friday in current comments. I had a, uh, slight lapse in memory.

Thursday nights at the Tiki Room were, as Rinoa had started to notice in her several months here, one of the busiest nights of the week. It was slower than the weekend, but it was a big party night for college students - everyone was out studying or meeting with friends to grab some caffeine before the bigger, "better" parties across town (to add to that, she thought, it was payday for some companies, and who didn't love indulging on pay day). The place was humming with the many conversations that were working through the coffee house's atmosphere, the bustle of people a constant flow before the counter. She had been there for three hours now, and she was well due for a break, to grab a bite to eat and some tea to get herself going for the rest of the night. She smiled at the girl who was taking over the cash register in her wake, offering her a nod and a quick explanation of how the customers were going - "it's been a steady flow, but it's a nice group, so it's not bad tonight" - before she slipped back into the break room, a sigh escaping her lips.

"Whew. It's really moving out there," she said, to no one in particular. Untying her apron, she slipped onto a small wooden chair that had been placed back there for the employees who were on break. First to take a breather, then she'd decide what kind of baked treat she'd like for the night. She was particularly fond of the muffins, but she was in the mood for something different from her usual snack (she wondered if there was anything doggie-appropriate to take home with her, then thought against it).

Leaning back, she looked up at the TV on the wall. It was some sort of news program, but with the volume turned so low and the costumers so loud, she couldn't tell what it was saying. Instead she aimlessly watched the woman talk about some image of a (rather lovely) young lady next to her head, allowing herself to space out for a bit.

Working so hard really got to her after a while.
