His vision blurred as the neon lights in the bar flickered, making his eyes hurt. The dark atmosphere of the rather high-class pub was made to give a soothing and quiet mood to the depressed that came to drink their worries away.
“Well, they should take all those darn lights out then” The drunken singer mumbled to himself.
Even most of the bartenders that were employed had basic psychological knowledge to help comfort the broken hearted that came to weep.
“Give me another please.” The youth hiccupped, dangling his empty glass toward the female bartender.
The woman placed the glass she was wiping down and said softly in concern, “But young sir, I think that’s enough for tonight. Please think of your health.”
“No! Give me another.” He simply repeated, pushing his glass away from himself.
The bartender’s eyes fell from the familiar story that seemed to unfold every night, “Yes sir.” She knew nothing she said would stop this guy from drinking until he passed out. Although, legally she could kick him out of the bar if he refused after a set point but she wondered what would happen to him if she did. He might get into an accident of some sort or something worse. Besides, he looked so young. Of course she had checked his ID to verify his age to drink but before that plastic card said he was legal she could have sworn that he was 17 or so.
The clear alcohol filled the blue-tinted glass slowly as the bartender slid it the few inches to the wobbly boy. His head was already lolling down toward the wood of the bar, threatening to fall at any moment. It wasn’t like this boy was about to pass out from a few drinks. No. He had had so many that the woman was amazed at how well he could hold his liquor for such a young age. Even the older customers usually couldn’t handle themselves as well as this one did.
The golden-haired youth sighed in relief, “Thank you…” He looked at her nametag for the first time that night, “…Sakura.” His slender fingers wrapped themselves around that comforting, cool glass and began drinking again.
Sakura sighed. Her eyes went to the flashing, neon clock about the exit door. Her shift was just about over.
“Tanaka-san should be here any minute to take my place.” Sakura thought in relief. Speak of the devil; Koki came through the back door, fully clothed in their official black apron and tie.
“Hey, go home and rest now. I got it from here, Sakura.” Koki patted her on the shoulder and grinned.
Sakura smiled but it dulled quickly, “Thanks. But I’m going to leave you with your hands full tonight. This one over here doesn’t want to stop drinking. I’m worried. Would you please take care of him?”
“Sure thing. I got it. Good night.” Koki gave Sakura a gentle shove toward the door.
“Thanks again. Good night!” Sakura waved before the doors flopped back in place behind her.
Koki exhaled slowly, “Sakura worries too much about our customers. A bartender can only do so much. I mean, really. Now which one was she talking about?”
There were only a few customers present at the moment. It was a very slow night since it was on a weekday and it was already passed 1 in the morning.
“It was one of Sakura’s customers so he shouldn’t be at a table. He’ll be at the bar…” Koki thought.
There was only one person along the wooden bar, so it was easy to spot the golden head that lay to the side, glass still clutched in the feminine-like hand. Koki rolled his eyes at the all too familiar scene. Footsteps echoed in the dark pub as Koki came to the other male on his side of the bar, taking his hand and shaking the other’s shoulder gently.
“Yo, it’s time to go home, buddy. You’ve had enough for tonight, alright?” Koki said softly, leaning over to try to see if the boy was awake. Slowly the features of that young face were shown in the neon lighting, making Koki choke on his gum.
“Tegoshi?!” Koki all but yelled in surprise. Tegoshi’s eyes rolled toward the KAT-TUN member in a haze.
“Koki-san…” Tegoshi slurred, “…you work at an onsen?”
“W-What…onsen? This is a bar! Why are you here drunk off your ass?!” Koki slapped the wood to keep the other boy conscious. “Is anyone here with you? How’d you even get here? This is damn far from your place. What the fuck!” Koki continued rambling on.
Tegoshi flopped his arms onto the bar surface to cover his ears from the onslaught of noise to his delicate senses. “It hurts…stop yelling, please.” Tegoshi gurgled in pain.
“Oh geez, I’m sorry! Can you get home on your own?” Koki took the blue glass from the Tegoshi before he could resist. Tegoshi seemed to forget about the liquor as he tried to decode Koki’s speech with difficulty.
“S-Sure I can…I…came in my car…” Tegoshi slurred through his words in second intervals.
“But…you don’t even have a car.” Koki said. He was beginning to realize that Tegoshi was too far gone to get home safe or even comprehend what he was saying. The last train had already run an hour ago as well. Koki skimmed the bar’s content. It was really slow, so slow to the point that it looked dead in fact. Koki bite his lip as he tried to think of a solution. It wasn’t possible for him to just leave the poor guy in that state. He made up his mind.
“Ok! Come on Tegoshi.” Koki said. He came around the bar and took hold of Tegoshi’s arms to lead him to a lounger couch to the side of the building. He gently placed the wobbly-kneed boy on his back and flushed the pillow around his head. Tegoshi was in and out of consciousness throughout the process.
But he was awake enough to ask, “Come on where? Ugh…lights…” His hand came in front of his eyes to shield the neon glow.
Koki looked behind him to the source of Tegoshi’s torment. As he went to turn the bar’s lights off, he said, “I’m going to have to take you to my apartment for tonight. I’ll close shop early since it’s so dead anyway. I’m sure Boss won’t mind…I hope.”
Tegoshi shot up from his fatal position, “No! You can’t do that. I don’t want to g-get you in trouble.” Pain shot through Tegoshi’s head as he fell back into the cushions. He groaned.
The other male clicked his tongue as he turned the ‘open’ sign over to show its ‘closed’ side to the outside world. He left one single neon light on near the back to hue the bar in a soft glow that was easy on the singer’s sensitive eyes. He came back to Tegoshi’s side with a damp cloth and a glass of water. Koki sat down to the side of the couch, placed the items on the end table, and pushed Tegoshi back down by his shoulders.
“Fine. I won’t take you home but the bar is going to stay closed until you are good enough to leave on your own then. Here, put this rag on your head and drink this water slowly while I go finish up the dishes.” Koki stated firmly.
Tegoshi’s eyes drooped, the protests that started to build up died on his pink lips as sleep began to take over. Koki quickly got most of the water down his throat before the darkness set in completely. The cloth came into contact with the warm skin along the singer’s forehead and then his white neck where that amazing voice came from. Koki had always admired the young boy for making it so far in the industry. Tegoshi’s story reminded him of himself when he had wanted to quit KAT-TUN in the beginning but they both decided to stay with their respected groups in the end and came so far since then.
Tegoshi’s moaned in his sleep as the cool cloth hit his collarbone, sending shivers up his neck. His lips parted in a short pant as a natural reaction to the battle between his body’s heat and the foreign chill. Koki gulped as that sound rang in his ears. His eyes suddenly stared at the pink lips that the sound emitted from.
“Oh Kami…I’m starting to become a pervert!” Koki groaned to himself. He quickly got up to do the dishes before his mind went even weirder on him.
Only a few hours passed when Tegoshi awoke next. His eyes readjusted to the green glow of the room. The color came from the bar and the rest of the room was black in darkness. He couldn’t remember where he was for a few seconds but the memories began to sink in as he spotted Koki’s silhouette in the back corner, his back to be precise. Tegoshi pushed himself up right to the side of the couch to lean against the arm. The blanket slipped from his waist in mid-motion. Confusion set in when he couldn’t remember where the maroon-colored blanket had come from.
“Koki must have put it there,” Tegoshi thought, proud of himself that he could actually think now.
“Well, that was a damn fast recovery! I see that you’re feeling a bit better in the head. You threw up a few times already so most of the alcohol should be out of your system now.”
“I did? I don’t remember…” Tegoshi shook his head slowly. Finding that he could do that simple motion without getting dizzy and throwing up, he agreed that he did feel a lot better.
“It’ll do that to you even if you do have a killer stomach for drinking. I don’t recommend you do that again though.”
Now that Tegoshi could think again, the memories he’s wanted to forget roared back in vengeance. The whole reason he got wasted in the bar far from home, far from…him. The tears came rolling down almost immediately. Koki was taken aback by the younger male’s sudden crying. But it shouldn’t have surprised him; why else would Tegoshi want to get drunk without any friends with him. He leaned against the opposite end of the couch, arms spread across the back and arm, and his legs spread wide.
“Want to talk about it?” Koki said softly, cautiously.
Tegoshi’s face hid in his hands and into the couch’s arm. He shook his head into the material.
“Is it school? Family?”
He shook his head again.
“Something with NEWS? One of the guys?”
Tegoshi stiffened and it was like you could hear his tears fall faster.
It dawned on Koki now. He’d heard that Tegoshi had been going out with one of the other NEWS members. He raked his brain to remember who it had been. His KAT-TUN scheduling had been way too busy during the last few months that he could never find time to get together with any friends as of late, even Tegoshi. He finally remembered…Ryo.
Koki traveled to the other side of the couch and pressed himself gently against Tegoshi’s back. He tilted the boy’s face backward so he could see the redness that was setting in on the cheeks. Koki kissed those moist cheeks, it was already too wet to even think about kissing the tears away but he would do the best he could.
“Forget about it. All of it.” Koki murmured over Tegoshi’s flesh. His hand rubbed up and down the other’s leg for comfort. “I don’t know what he did but you didn’t deserve it, did you?”
“N-No…he j-just…” Tegoshi whimpered but fell further into Koki’s warming hands. Koki shushed the poor boy’s stuttering response with calming circles to his back.
“Want me to make it better?” Koki whispered softly, huffing hot breath onto Tegoshi’s ear. His hand slipped through the buttons on his shirt, snipping one after the other slowly. The advances continued as if to tempt Tegoshi into agreeing to it all.
It worked. Tegoshi nodded his head slowly after a moment of thought. But it didn’t really take much thought. In the end, all he wanted was to feel better. Another’s comfort and touch, a human’s natural need flowed into his body and mind as all his memories pounded at his brain, trying to consume him.
He pulled at Koki’s apron in desperation, “Please” was all he could say at that moment, looking into Koki’s eyes. Koki didn’t need for the boy to plea with him more, he complied. There were no worries regarding anyone coming in and seeing them because Koki had already locked up shop. He hadn’t been expecting Tegoshi to be going home any time soon.
Koki dragged his lips over Tegoshi’s temple, kissing down his cheek in an attempt to cleanse the tears. The rapper took his place against Tegoshi’s front as the younger male’s back sank into the cushions. His legs spread wide so that Koki pressed himself flush against the other’s groin area.
Tegoshi’s arms came around Koki’s neck, tight enough to make Koki grunt his slight pain. His breath came in unsteady pants as Koki buried his face into Tegoshi’s neck, kissing and nibbling along the sensitive skin. A quick vertical lick warmed the flesh as Koki took that time to slip the thin t-shirt above the hardening nipples of the younger male.
No words were spoken; it would make things more personal. Only moans and whimpers slipped through the empty bar, echoing along the wine glasses to create a harmonic vibration to their ears. Koki warmed the shivers that chilled over Tegoshi’s skin by rubbing his strong hands over it, stroking along ribs and up to his collarbone and skimming back down to torment his nipples. Tegoshi thrust upward into Koki’s groin, his pants speeding up dangerously, begging silently for more. Koki wouldn’t have that.
“Speak to me, Tegoshi” Koki demanded.
Tegoshi whimpered some more and only grinded harder into the other male. Koki fought back a groan and kept his mind on task.
“Tegoshi, I can make you feel good but I want your approval. Give it to me.”
Those hazed eyes opened slowly and tried to focus his vision on the rapper above him.
“Please…help me.” The voice quivered.
“Is that a yes?”
A nod came in return.
Koki breathed deeply before he continued his ministrations. He unzipped Tegoshi’s pants quickly and tossed them over the back of the couch. Koki went to his knees in front of the couch and started kissing Tegoshi’s abdomen softly. He widened Tegoshi’s legs on either side of him, sliding his arms upward and under the offending t-shirt further.
The silence suddenly hit his ears. No moans or whimpers had come to his ears for quite some time. Looking up to see why, his practically fell over in disbelief. Tegoshi was sleeping!
“What the…!” Koki feel back onto the wood floor with a groan.
Eyes rolling in frustration, Koki got to his feet and stared down at the young singer. He sighed, “It can’t be helped I suppose…so cute though.” He snickered at the pink parted lips, breathing slow and steady with that little tummy still showing.
“But man! I didn’t even get to take off his underwear!”
Few minutes later, he decided to get over his ranting, pulling Tegoshi’s pants back in place, he draped the blanket from earlier back over him as well. Koki leaned him horizontally along the cushions as Tegoshi curled into the back cushions. Giving him a quick kiss on the cheek, Koki returned to his cleaning duties behind the bar counter. Every so often, he’d glance up at the boy and give a small smile, shaking his head in amusement.
His smile turned sour as his thoughts wondered. The glass he was cleaning diligently, shattered from his vice grip. Anger burned through his veins as the single neon light made his flesh glow ominously.
A mental note stapled itself into his brain: Kill Ryo.
