Title: It's All Gone Wrong, A Wedding (2/2)
Author: twilight_ave
Pairing: Jae x Yunho
Rating & Genre: PG / Angst, Drama.. and then it all just realy boils down to Romance don't you agree?^^
Summary: Based on the plotbunnie offered by
whitefoxburns which led to the fic "Wedding" I posted some months ago, link:
http://twilight-ave.livejournal.com/5161.html#cutid1. PLS. read "Wedding" before this one just so this ends up making sense^^
A/N: I wasn't too certain if I should post the continuation to the first part of the fic since it was originally written out as a one-shot but after much much tossing and turning I figured that I might as well hear your thoughts on how I finished the sort-of cliffhanger ^^ For those who liked "Wedding", I hope I didn't totally screw this one up^^
More A/N^^: I feel like as if this is my comeback fic or something lol^^ Been really busy lately and the inet connection has been total crap which has both served to stop me from getting my daily dose of dbsk love TT_TT and I'm only actually getting the chance to catch up now *sigh* I'll try to finish my two chaptered fics as soon as possible (while there's still a 3% likelihood that people remembers them lol^^) and I've friended everyone back already^_^
The music climaxes and your heart skips a beat when you look up to catch her walking down the isle - my baby angel, Jaejoong insists on calling her - and your on the brink of crying like an idiot once again because she looks breathtakingly beautiful and all you can think of is how much she looks like him.
“Yah! I would’ve turned out to be such a hottie!” He gushes proudly, pressing his face so close to hers that you all laugh at how it looks like he’s staring at his own reflection.
“Only you wouldn’t be as nice” Junsu teases.
“And you’d end up breaking everyone’s heart without knowing it”
He pauses at the comment, pulling away from her, “But Min”, wide eyed and confused,“how would I do that?”
Changmin looks up to you then and you both desperately try not to smile.
“It’ll definitely make living together more interesting” Yoochun whispers invitingly into Jaejoong’s ear and you hit him over the head like a knee-jerk reaction despite how many times you’ve told yourself you wouldn’t fall for it anymore.
No one’s laughing now, no one says anything as they tiptoe around the silence of Jae’s cold resolve, your heavy heart and the white walls filled with life in a tablet holding the three of you together delicately.
She holds your gaze through the veil of fragile lace - the softness in her eyes so much like the first time Jaejoong had held out his hand to you - and your fingers sink deeper into your palm, digging in for pain, for a moment’s reprieve from the numbness.
Carefully placing her hand on yours, you fight the shiver that runs through you at how small it is against yours and how pale she looks despite the layers of make-up barely concealing the dark shadows under her eyes.
You hold on a little tighter, because you have always loved her, and she smiles bravely at you in that self-same strained confident way Jaejoong gives you when there’s not enough time to breathe pass the glamour and just be human.
Only, this time, it leaves you a little broken inside, because she doesn’t burn you like Jaejoong does, doesn’t leave you breathless and giddy like a schoolgirl when he walks pass all the vying admirers and whispers to be taken home. And you’re torn between promising her days filled with watching the sun rise and begging him to take you back when it’s him you want.
“Please” He begs you, hands griping yours as you tried so desperately to fight him.
No.
Him.
“Please Yunho” He pleads, hands on your shirt, whispering into your embrace, into the shirt he had bought for you and the years you had promised each other.
Only him.
“Please” He says in between chocked sobs that seemed to come from somewhere deep inside of you.
Don’t.
“I can’t” He tries to say and you strain against him, kissing away his tears, “I can’t live without her and we - ” stiffening beside him “ - we will have forever but - ” the dreams you had shared starting to fade.
Don’t.
“ - but she won’t have that Yunho.” And you struggle so hard to keep yourself from crying at the madness in his eyes, to be strong enough to carry him through his pain, “She won’t”, and be the person he needs you to be, “She won’t Yunho and this, THIS, is all she wants”.
Always him.
“Do you - ” the priest starts to say and you grip the ring the both of you had painfully picked together, pretending that it was really for the both you, pretending that you were old young couples starting every single tomorrow together, pretending because the lies doesn’t hurt as much.
You both turn to face each other and she smiles reassuringly at you, looking older than she was a month ago, and you catch sight of the necklace you and Jaejoong had given her when she turned seventeen last year.
The music stills, the crowd falls silent, and she reaches up to embrace you with one hand as the bouquet of white lilies stand beside the both of you like a curtain against the world.
“Yunho ah” She whispers softly, the curl of a smile touching your ear, “Take care of our Jaejoong for me ok”
