A kiss on each cheek paired with her coy smile that hid her emotions. That smile was her facade, her everything, her mask against Edward's talents, thoughts a jumble of Slavic, Latin, French, German, and languages long forgotten by the world. He looked at her the same way he always did: harsh and contemplative, concentrating, attempting to decipher the enigma of Pandora's Box that was Tanya's mind. Her smile broadened slightly as his eyebrows furrowed in their normal way. After kissing his cheek, she leaned closer, lips brushing over pronounced cheek bones and settling at the edge of his ear, "Ah, Edward. I've missed you."

"Oh, Mike! How will I go on?" I asked frantically, riddled with guilt. I couldn't keep this from Edward. I couldn't tell him either; our wedding so close. I was panicking. Mike just sat there and sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose, looking miserable.
I suddenly realized that by allowing him to kiss me, I'd given him a notion that he still had a chance. It made me feel even guiltier than the fact that I'd kissed him at all.

I burst into laughter.
"I mean, yeah, he's a lot more metro than I ever could be, but I think we have some savoring similarities," he continued. I laughed harder.
"Oh, Mike! How will I go on?" I managed to spurt through my hysterical laughter. He simply smiled adoringly at me, saying nothing. I realized I was going to miss Mike a lot. A whole lot.
