When Jasper walked in, he groaned, hoping he was reading the competitive nature of the room wrong. “Oh, not this again.”
Emmett’s eyes were locked on the computer screen. “Fifty dollars on the vampires.”
Alice snorted.
Bella scrolled down the page. “Sorry, but my vote is for the humans.”
“Tryagain,” Alice coughed.
“I don’t know, the werewolves are pulling out all the stops this week,” Edward said begrudgingly.
“Wrong,” Alice sighed.
“Are you going to tell us who wins, or are you just going to be obnoxious?” Rosalie snapped.
Alice grinned. “Sorry, but life isn’t fun without a few surprises.”
When Jasper walked into the room and felt the emotions bubbling at the surface, he groaned, hoping he was reading the competitive nature of his family’s emotions wrong. “Oh, not this again.” He eyed Emmett’s grin warily, then rolled his eyes. “You do realize they’re writing about us, don’t you?”
“That’s the best part,” Emmett said, eyes locked on the computer screen. “Fifty dollars on the vampires.”
Alice snorted, staring down at her nails. Emmett glared.
Bella popped a piece of popcorn into her mouth, clearly enjoying the entertainment. She wrestled the mouse away from Edward so she could scroll down the page. “Sorry, but my vote is for the humans.”
“Tryagain,” Alice coughed.
“I never thought I’d say this, but I think the werewolves are going to take it. They’re pulling out all the stops this week,” Edward said begrudgingly.
“So obvious, yet so wrong,” Alice sighed.
“Alice, are you going to tell us who wins, or are you just going to be obnoxious?” Rosalie snapped, eyes narrowing.
Alice grinned and wriggled her eyebrows. “Sorry Rose, but life just isn’t fun without a few surprises.”
