Yup, landed safely on Norwegian soil 6pm local time last night after a long and agonising flight. Saw Danny Boyle's "Sunshine" on the first leg from Sydney to Tokyo, and "Night at the Museum" and "Arthur and the Invisibles" between Tokyo and Frankfurt. The great thing about flying via Japan is they served a lot of Japanese food and green tea, and you had the option of sandwiches or Onigiri for snacks, so wherever possible I opted for the Japanese food.
When I went through the security screening in Frankfurt, they thought the dismantled twigLimbs kit in my backpack was liquids, so I had to pull everything out of my bag to show them that I had dollparts stuffed in socks. So resin registers as liquids on the x-ray...
Still very tired but I will try to stay up as long as possible today to shake off the jetlag. Went grocery shopping with my parents, and listened to Einjerjar in the car (look it up, EP). Somehow I doubt I'll be able to find wasabi peas here, but I really want to get my parents to try something with wasabi in it, since they tried to foist some jalapeno cheese on me for breakfast, only to be sorely dissappointed when I didn't respond to it as they had hoped (breathing flames).. it really wasn't that hot to my palette.
My dad apparently has a Sudoku addiction, so I had a go, and I can see the benefit of a bit of brain training. Oh and Lil, we have Nemi strips in the local paper!! It's all in Norwegian though. I can see if I can find any comic books or albums for you in English.
Apparently the summer here has been really bad so far, and it started raining after I landed yesterday, but there might be sun in a few days. It's awfully muggy at the moment too, hotter than it is at home at the moment.
The house is really lovely, a bit different from last time, but also very much the same. There are load sand loads of plants and decorations with ducks and cats, and mum's quilts, I'll have to take some pictures of it at some point.
