twigLimbs: The End (for now anyway)
August 3 2007...
...and breathe out. Have cast and shipped dolls to fill all the order slots as of today, and am officially finished with twigLimbs for a long time ahead. Thank you to everyone who participated. I hope you enjoy your new kits. It's very fitting that the last doll started to tear some of the molds, I ran out of bubblewrap and today it is raining so I couldn't cast anything. This marks the conclusion of an epic journey for me...
I am now going on a months holiday, followed by a busy schedule of all sorts of doll and non-doll related things, but as soon as time permits I hope to go back and revise and remold the twigLimbs body kit, which will be loads of fun, no doubt. So at some point in the future I will be making kits available again, but don't hold yer breath. I will not be taking bulk orders or making lists next time, it will simply be a case of letting people know I am ready and then casting no more than one or two dolls per week, to leave time for other things like eating and sleeping.
I did manage to cast a kit for myself as well, it's got two or three different colours of resin in it, but it is mostly for me to be able to play with and figure out what needs to be modified and what sort of fixes can be applied without casting new parts; for a start I aim to find out how to repair that dicky left knee, so stay tuned for that and much more!!
