I'm in Boulder!! I love it here. We couldn't have picked a better place to live. It blows CT out of the water! The trip to get here was ok. Luckily we didn't have any problems on our 5 day journey. It was pretty boring for the most part since we drove through nothing but corn! So much corn!! Everywhere we stopped was nowhere I would want to live. I got to visit my aunt in Pennsylvania on day 1 of the trip, and then we spent the night with Ben's friends in Pittsburgh. They were cool, we had a nice round of Munchkin. If you haven't played this game, you're seriously missing out. We spent the night on Day 2 at my brother's house in Kalamaazoo, Michigan. I got to see my Dad too since he lives down the street from my bro. We stayed for the whole day the next day which was a nice break from driving and we got to see Lake Michigan. After two nights in a row of sleeping on the living room floor, I was more than relieved when we got to the hotel on Day 4. We stayed at a La Quinta Inn (hooray for rollerderby discount!) in Omaha, Nebraska. We reached our final destination in the early evening of Day 5. As we approached Boulder on the highway, we were signing along with Tenacious D and admiring the view of the mountains and town in front of us. It was very exciting!

This week has been a mix of checking out our new surroundings and job hunting. It's nice to be unemployed. For now. I am eager to find a job pretty soon. My funds won't hold out forever, and I'm too nervous to spend money outside of necessities until I'm working. I'm not too worried about that, yet.

I have been riding my bike more in one week than I have all summer. This town was built for bike riding. Everyone rides their bike everywhere, and there's a sweet bike path nearby that leads all over town without having to deal with crossing streets. It's also ideal for skating! There's plenty of parks nearby with playgrounds, and public swimming pools (I saw one with a water slide!). The liqour stores stay open til 11:45 pm and til 9 pm on Sundays. There's a meadery in town only a short bike ride away! They have free tours and tastings all the time, so if anyone visits, I will gladly take you there. We did that yesterday. The tap water here kind of tastes like blood but in a good way! The people are very friendly and chill. There's always stuff to do. Everything we need is right down the street or within a few minutes by bike. I can see the mountains from anywhere in town. I can see them as I type this in a local coffee shop! We had a pizza a few nights ago from this place that makes extra large pizzas. It was like the size of a small coffee table! The three of us could barely finish it. There are so many awesome things about Boulder, I can't even think of them all right now. But I will keep everyone updated!

I miss everyone in CT, but I do not miss CT!

Here's me and Ben on the first day in Boulder at the nearby park. See the mountains!!

Me and Brody checking out the stream that runs alongside the bike path.
