nobody liked my pickle metaphor...well, nobody's responding to it anyway. i thought it was rather brilliant, really. i mean have you ever heard of group work as the pickle that comes with your sandwich? i didn't think so.
also: i can't believe i'm 32 years old and somebody's making me do a powerpoint for school.
also also: i can't believe i have an opinion on whether middle schoolers should be integrated into K-8s or 6-12s (a wishy washy opinion, sure: it depends on the middle schooler, though i'd prefer to see K-7s and 8-12s all the way around)...when just a year or so ago, i'd've said "round up the lot of them and toss 'em in a work camp or something so they stop stinking up the rest of society"--only i probably wouldn't of said "the lot of them" because a year ago i hadn't just finished a very, very british bit of scifi (or something like scifi--more like the british "dogma" but before dogma and without salma hayek and the poop monster. and well, completely different in plot, but rather similar in philosophy and tone...well, but more C of E than Catholic about everything.)
so, uh, yeah.
