Okay all you peeps out there....
If you watched Revenge of the Sith and you felt disappointed with some aspects of it,
Be warned, there are probably spoilers ahead. Just in case.
Padme has a MUCH larger role in the 'real' story. Lucas must have cut TONS of Padme stuff to get it down to the time he wanted.
Anakin doesn't just all of the sudden decide Palpatine is right. There's this whole huge convoluted plot that never gets touched upon in the movie. Things that are put in Anakin's head by Palpatine that never even get HINTED at in the movie. Many things that just add to Anakin believing Palpatine. Much more than just "The Jedi are out to get me" and that's the end of it. There's a lot more in their heads.
There's this whole subplot involving Obi-Wan & Padme that Palpatine sets up in Anakin's head that I NEVER caught in the movie. (May have happened...I only saw it once...) But dang, as I'm reading, it's clarifying things for me.
The character thoughts/voices are so important to know. The things in their heads...their thoughts. It's amazing what you miss in the movie.
In short, GO READ THE BOOK. You'll get more. Much more. Trust me.
