Be warned. Might get a bit sticky or tense in here. But if it gets out of hand, rest assured I'll shut it down. So act respectfully and play nicely and we should all be fine

I think CBS got what they wanted from this. Publicity. And they are shaking it up...whether it's a good shake up or not. Maybe this will be the last season of Survivor.
And about the Hurricane, I saw this documentary the other night on HBO that bothered me SO much! So many people assume race was involved in some of the efforts and I, for one, don't. My hubby was one of the ones sent in and he got turned back at the border by STATE officials. So I know some of that story. And when I see a person of color screaming (even now a year later) that the white man was just trying to kill him off...it angers me. One man said (literally) "I was in a boat. And I needed water and I was screaming for water when the helicopters came over and then they dropped water and nearly drowned me. I knew they was just trying to get rid of another black man then." Uh......DUDE! Come on! And people who said "The helicopters didn't come down to get me. They waved and went off to rescue white people." Um....HOW DO YOU KNOW THAT?
Woops. Sorry. Got into the Hurricane issue again and that's a touchy one for me. I live where we still have a LOT of hurricane refugees and we've got a lot of local issues here because of it. So this is a hot topic for me. But I do believe that just as, for so long, segregation was absolutely wrong and out of line, this sort of 'reverse' racism where it's ASSUMED that race is involved or is the main factor is just as wrong. (I'm not saying there is't racism anymore, but I'm talking about the automatic assumption of racism in instances where that's not necessarily the case. I hope that makes sense!)
*sigh*
Did I just get de-friended by about a hundred people?!
