Sweden shows support for the Russian LGBT Community
I know two posts from me in one day is a bit much.:) I couldn’t resist posting this video, snagged from pushkin666
The Vancouver mayor is not going to the Olympics, but rather has sent two of the council members, both are gay, and have already met with the IOC. Vancouver hosted the first Pride House at the Olympics here, and would very much like to see that become a tradition at future Olympics. I thought that was a good way to make a statement.
Now this video from Sweden, where 2,000 gathered in the Olympic Stadium in Stockholm to send a message of support to the Russian LGBT community, by singing the Russian Nation Anthem, surrounded by rainbow flags. It certainly sends a great message.
