So through a series of events that have nothing to do with anything, I've decided to do the raw thing for the next 2 weeks. Let me tell you, as someone who's diet is currently meat and bread, to switch to a nearly vegan raw foods diet is tough. Right now I'm feeling hungry and cranky, since I have a ton of food that I *could* eat, but I'm not because I'm just not hungry enough for veggies.
But when looking for raw recipes on the internet I found out some things, some more astonishing than others. Specifically, that a large majority of the raw foods people are crazy. I mean, really crazy. I also found out that though I had a conception that raw = veggies, there are other options, such as fruits, nuts, or oils.
I also found out that there are raw "cookies" and other baked goods. See, you stick it in a dehydrator for a really long time, and viola! I just don't know how you can justify using a food dehydrator more readily than cooking food, considering that man had fire thousands of years ago, and dehydrators are just a smidge more modern.
Well, I'll keep you updated on my trials and tribulations.
