Um, can we first deal with how flippin' fantastic this is from start to finish? It blends their canons flawlessly (lol, Archie on Picon!), and makes this whole fic entirely plausible. Most crossovers can't even touch that, so it was quite a feat!
It's also just remarkable storytelling - the scope and sense of story is terrific. Loads of people can tell an anecdotal story, but to weave it with two canons and head!canon? Brilliant!!
Oh! And the attention to detail - it makes the whole fic scrumptious. You've nailed every sense from the smelly garbage scow to the greasy carnival food. And then there was touch...
This bit was beautiful: She burned bright and febrile and fast. Oh, man, Karen!! I LOVE it! And the way it goes back to the epigram... oh, dude, that warms my lit-geek heart.
And this... "And if they find me here, I will kill you myself!" You claim you don't know Kara that well? That just disproved you! It's perfect!
I LOVED every minute of this, my dear! Thank you so so so much! My only complaint is... when's there gonna be a part two? ;)
I am deeply and sincerely flattered by your words, Jess. It has been a pleasure for me to write this fic (even if I worried half-way through if it was folly!) It was, indeed, inspiration brought on my some very fabulous writing you've bestowed upon me.
On the matter of a sequel: This I have considered, as I feel I will be continually inspired by the writings you bestow upon me. Furthermore, I will no doubt find myself pining of your presence once again, and will feel the need to write something to fill the epic void you've left behind. :3
