http://mixthatdrink.com/skittles-vodka-tutorial/ Sarah, maybe we can make this when you're in town? It seems like the recipe to a certified hangover, I know, but it looks so tasty. This is me giving vodka a chance to redeem itself.
I'm taking Gina on a weekend getaway to my parent's house in Milwaukee. They will be out of town, and I figure it will be an opportunity to give Gina a taste of my childhood and seduce her at the same time.
I hate that I don't have a job yet. Yes, I nanny 4-5 times a week, and I don't mean to discredit hourly paid jobs. But, it's just not going to cut it for me anymore, mainly because I need the benefits that most salary-paying jobs provide. Plus, I really need to be financially stable if I want to settle down and have a family anytime soon. The notion of me settling down might come as a surprise to you, but it's no bigger a surprise than falling in love has been to me. And besides, for me, a lot of it is being able to have kids. After seeing how much joy the children I babysit for bring to my life, and then seeing even how much more joy they bring to their parent's lives...it makes me eager to have my own. There is something to be said about changing the world through raising children with the intent that they will do things differently.
This entry was supposed to be light-hearted, but for whatever reason I decided to get all weird at the end there.
