Hi all!
Okay, this might come off as more than a little bi***y, but this is the kind of fic I'm looking for because I'm all angsty and stuff, and I *really* hope someone can point me in that direction.
I love the idea of Janto, but also get the feeling that it's a ridiculously imbalanced pairing on the internet, you know? I mean, I enjoy Ianto's woobie as much as the next person, but *god* he's a strong man, you know? and. And sometimes, I wish he'd just be written as seriously standing up for himself and saying No to all the sh*t the team, and Jack, dumps on him.
It's like, he's a smart man. He wasn't a tea-boy at T1. He put up with an epic demotion for Lisa, okay. But Lisa's gone. Shouldn't he, I don't know, do something more valuable with the time he's suddenly got freed up? Because yes, I know T3 won't trust him for a good while after "Cyberwoman", but really.
And Jack seems to think Ianto will put up with him flirting away with Gwen, who's obviously interested.
I want him to pull away from all this nonsense. The man deserves better. Right? Pull away from Jack, and earn respect from the team. I don't mind even if he leaves T3 or something. But he should definitely leave Jack. Let him be like, "if he wants Gwen, he can have her. I'm done." Yes, I'm a little bit (read: A lot) of a Gwen-Basher. Sorry.
I'm craving a fic in which he decided that enough is enough. He can leave and come back, leave and *never* come back (meaning the team can go to him). Anything's cool. As long as it's a, "That showed Them" style fic. I don't mind Janto, I don't mind if there's no Janto.
I just don't want Ianto to fall back into Jack's arms. I don't want their fix, if there is a fix, to be easy. I want Jack to really fight for it. I want him to admit his mistakes and stuff. Perhaps a little bit of cold!Ianto. That'd do wonders for my soul atm.
