Memery: the movie quotes game

Dec 05, 2006 10:23

THE RULES:
  1. I pick 12 of my favorite movies.
  2. I pick one of my favorite quotes from each movie.
  3. I post those quotes.
  4. You all guess from which movie each quote comes.
  5. I'll strike out the quote once it has been correctly identified and place the guesser's user name directly after the quote.

Heh. I'm not going to post, to let other people play... but I got all but #7 and #10. All favorites of mine as well.

I'm surprised you didn't get #7, but it might be a case of me finding memorable a line that no one else thinks to be so.

As for #10, it's an obscure one from a movie that gets far less credit than it should. I'm not surprised you got #9, but I actually thought that one to be harder than #10.

Oh, my god, I saw that movie about ten times in the theater. And the one before it, Kentucky Fried Movie, which was actually funnier the second time we saw it. I skipped school with my buddie Mark Denton, and I distinctly remember being unable to breathe during some scenes, we were laughing so hard.

And that particular line is quoted by me and Les and Karen and Anne alla damn time. :)

If nobody's gonna say it, I will: #4 is Graham Chapman in Monty Python Live At The Hollywood Bowl.

Is #10 Kevin Kline in Dave?

(Unless it's And Now For Something Completely Different. There's some sketch repetition there, and I can't remember right this second which has which.)

#10 is not from Dave, though that is a good, underrated movie.
